A483- Heavy Duty Combo Tool
The A483 pneumatic steel-strapping tool is manufactured by Fromm. It is heavier and larger than its lighter counterpart the A482. It is suitable for industries that use a lot of heavy-duty applications. The tool comes in two models. The main model is set for 1 ¼” wide steel straps. This tool is ideal to strap coils, tubes and rods in all positions. It has a pneumatically raised feed wheel that helps in introducing the heavy steel straps.
The tool can be used with four different suspension brackets. It is also known to work well in continuous working conditions. When the banding is fed into the tool, the feedwheel, which is automatic, eliminates extra workload for the operator. The tool is very reliable and though it is heavy it can withstand continuous operation easily and efficiently.
Being a push style combination tool, the A483 has an easy strap feed. The main advantage of this tool is that it straps, seals and cuts all at the push of a button. The only disadvantage to this tool is that it is heavy though it is great for high tensile strapping. Being a pneumatic tool also has its own shortcomings. There are airlines running all around the work area and hinders the movement of the operators.
With the arrival of battery-operated tools that are faster and efficient, the use of pneumatic tools is coming down as industries continue to switch over to battery-operated tools to increase their productivity.
