Tough Battery Tool: Grip Pack Tensioner
The Grip Pack Tensioner is currently the most popular tool for steel strapping. It’s battery powered and so much easier to use than traditional steel manual tools, that managers are quickly replacing manual tools with the GripPack series. The two tools are used separately as the Grip Pack 114 Sealer and the Grip Pack Tensioner.
The Grip Pack Tensioner runs on the Bosch Lithium-ion 18V battery, stronger than common 14V batteries that run in most battery strapping tools. This tool is a pusher style tensioner and has a duck bill nose to push the seals and pull the tension.
As the Grip Pack tensioner is a battery operated tool, it eliminates the use of air lines that are present with pneumatic tools, which makes it easier for the operator to use. It pulls the same amount of tension as its pneumatic competitors.
Battery powered tools are very convenient, easy to use and much lighter than some manual and pneumatic tools. Operator fatigue is eliminated due to the use of these tools. They are also very cost effective and offer better mobility. The Grip pack tensioner can pull up to 1500 pounds of tension with just the squeeze of the handle.
